One of the largest repair and installation companies in Europe in the field of power generation - "Energoremont - Galabovo" AD, received the "Silver Award" in the annual ranking of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber.
The award was given for "good results in 2018 in the completion of construction works of energy infrastructure in the "Large Companies" section with employment of over 50 people. "We believe we deserve such an award. For us, this award came as a pleasant surprise, because we neither applied for it, nor did we know that such a ranking is being prepared by the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, commented the procurator and executive director of the company, Eng. Evgeni Stanchev, who sent a thank you address to Chairman of the Board of BCC, Eng. Ilian Terziev.
The award is based on the results reported by the company for the previous year. "2018 was very busy for Energoremont. We have noted a significant increase of as much as 40% in the volume of work performed compared to 2017, "said Eng. Stanchev. The company will end with a similar result in 2019, such is expected to be the next 2020. The reasons for these high results are objective and subjective, says Eng. Stanchev. Currently, the coal-fired power plants of the Maritza-Iztok complex are undergoing a cycle of modernization projects in order to be able to meet the stricter requirements of the European Commission for the level of emissions and in particular for the levels of NOx. In this regard, large-scale processes are underway, both in the state-owned TPP Maritza-East- 2 and in the private American power plants AES and Contour Global.
Energoremont-Galabovo AD is one of the contractors for these projects. "On the other hand, the merit of the management and the team of Energoremont is the creation of a better organization, through which only with the available staff and the resources we have, we managed to do much larger volumes of work," he added. Energoremont employs a total of over 1,000 people. In the direction "Repair and installation activities" are employed over 500, and in the direction "Furnace construction and insulation works" - the activity which is closest to the sphere of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, 250 people work. This makes this structure the largest in Bulgaria, specializing in the construction, repair and modernization of furnaces and equipment that operates under pressure at high temperatures.
